The Trojan Men’s basketball team has a 13-10 record after the loss coming from the University of South Alabama Jaguars. The Trojans only had two players in double digits in Saturday’s matchup against the Jaguars.

Christyon Eugene ended the game with 17 points, 15 scored in the second half. Aamer Muhammed was second on the team with 10 points with a pair of assists. The jaguars out rebounded the trojans 37 rebounds to 22.

“To lose the rebounding battle the way we did . . . our guys just didn’t come to compete the way they were supposed to,” said Head Coach Scott Cross, following the game on Saturday night. “We are going to have to do some soul-searching and get back to work on Monday.

“We need to bounce back. We’ve got four games at home. I couldn’t identify with the team that showed up tonight”

The men’s basketball team has a 7-2 record when playing at home this season. Despite the loss, the Trojans were able to keep the turnovers to a minimum with nine turnovers total in the game.

The Trojans next match up will be a rematch against the University of Southern Mississippi Golden Eagles. The Trojans lost to the Eagles in the first matchup losing by 4 points 60-64 but have a chance to tie the series this Thursday night at 6 p.m. in Trojan arena.
